WATERSMEET was nominated for….

…Something! I’m not sure exactly what yet! Now before anyone starts thinking Newbery, I’ll tell you what I know: my editor sent some of my galleys to YALSA (the Young Adult Library Services Association) which found their way into the hands  of a librarian in Fort Collins, CO and her teen reading group has put WATERSMEET on their nominated list! I don’t know what the list is for–though I assume, since my editor said it was “good news,” it is not the “worst-book-I-ever-read” list. What I do know is that a group of teenagers in Colorado liked the book! And that rocks! In addition, my editor said that being nominated for whatever it was nominated for will get it before other librarians. And that also rocks because librarians rock! If I get any more info, I will share! (Oh, I did google the librarian — of course — and she was on the Top Ten Teen Reads committee at YALSA last year. So I’m thinking, that can only be good!)

Oh,  again! Have you noticed the new design of my blog? THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Bridget Finnegan who is a great friend from high school and who is trying to make me look like a professional!
